6/19/15 | Purnavu Muiža

Though the morning of June 13 was cloudy, and one could ask for
the promised +30C, the day was warm both for competition and itself.

During the opening ceremony the founder and the owner of “Purnavu Muiža” Rolands Orlovskis emphasized that
“The goal of this event is to unite the best ones in the state and now I see that the best are really here”.
With more than 50 competitors in each of three disciplines, Purnavu Muiža Cup had united the best of the best.

SK-35 discipline (Running Boar 35m) was at the same time the Baltic Championship, that unfortunately was poorly attended by neighboring countries but that would not be the obstacle for “Mārkulīči” sports club shooter Edgars Zeidmanisto become the first Champion of the Baltic States and with one point overtake another “Mārkulīči” sports club shooter Ojārs Dālderis, leaving Andis Apse in the third place, he also accomplished master of shooting normative. Congratulations!

In rifle discipline shooting on European game animals, the first was Einārs Lapiņš with an impressive score 199, Petras Abukevičius with 194 points and the third was ris Jēkabsons with 193 points.

In sporting discipline the highest results were reached by Einārs Lapiņš with 65 out of 75, Kārlis Lapiņš with 64 and Jānis Kvāls with 63 points.

The absolute winner in all three disciplines or combined classing was Kārlis Lapiņš, the second was Mārtiņš Gaņģisand the third - Mārtiņš Turkopulis. Congratulations!

During the day there were many different activities like Mārkulīči Superhunter, Mārkulīči pneumatics, and archery.

On the day of competition there was a possibility to meet manufacturer representatives from Carl Zeiss-Aleksandr Prell, Swarovski Optik-Aleksandr Belski and NORMA Ammunition-Anders Brolund, who showed his great shooting skills on European game animals with 190 points and reaching the finals with only two rounds in Superhunter. We have to note that in Sweden they do not hunt with round shotgun hunting bullets.

There was a chance to try hunter-friendly cars - Ford Ranger and Subaru Forester.

In the end of the day the manufacturer representative from Swarovski Optik- Aleksandrs Beļskis had prepared a possibility for everyone to try the new Swarovski X5 model in the range of 100m with all its options.

We would like to express our gratitude to all participants and supporters  Mauser Jagdwaffen, Norma Ammunition, Swarovski Optik, Carl Zeiss Sport Optics, Seeland International & Harkila, Ballistol (F.W.Klever GmbH), Fluna Tec, Niggeloh.
